ROLAND OUDOT (1897-1981) Parisian painter of a certain stature, Oudot started his professional life under Léon Bakst, working on ballet and theatre design. He soon transferred his talents to painting and his best work can be readily set beside that of Dufy, Brianchon or in the wake of Cézanne. In later years he studied lithography and used the technique to illustrate a number of works, principally with rural or pastoral settings. |
